The Story of Edith Smith brings to life the journey of Oxton-born Edith Smith through a simple, intimate and powerful performance. This production explores Edith’s resilience, courage and pioneering role in changing women’s place in public life at a time of great social change.

Presented by Oxton Playwrights CIC as part of Her Stories of Wirral, the production blends theatre, local history and community storytelling to celebrate an often-overlooked figure whose legacy still resonates today.
